PROFESSIONAL & BIODEGRADABLE - Our high quality 12 inch balloons are made in the UK from natural latex which comes from the sap of the rubber tree and is 100% biodegradable, but please do dispose of them responsibly (we say treat them in the same way you would biodegradable food packaging). We do not condone funeral balloon releases - if you wish to release something we recommend using our Remembrance Bubble Favours instead.
SUITABLE FOR AIR OR HELIUM INFLATION - Our balloons are suitable for helium as well as air inflation. If you want the balloons to 'float' they will need to be inflated with helium (which weighs less than air and enables them to rise). Most party shops will offer a helium inflation service or you can buy a disposable party helium cylinder and fill them yourself.

ABOUT OUR BALLOONS
What are they made from? Our premium quality biodegradable balloons are made in the UK from natural latex, which is produced from the sap of the rubber tree. It is collected without harming the tree using an age-old, environmentally safe process similar to that used for collecting the sap from maple trees for making syrup.
How are they biodegradable? Stress caused by inflation starts the decomposition cycle and exposure to sunlight accelerates the process. Research has shown that under the same conditions, latex decomposes in roughly the same amount of time as an oak leaf.
INSTRUCTIONS
These professional quality balloons are suitable for helium or air inflation. Please take care not to over-inflate balloons as this could cause them to pop. If filling with air, we recommend using a hand pump rather than inflating by mouth. Adults should inflate balloons and supervise children under 8 years old. Not suitable for children under 3 years old. Always dispose of balloons responsibly.
If your order is time sensitive we recommend selecting the Express Delivery option for UK orders, and the DHL Express courier option for international orders, as these are the fastest delivery services that we offer.
UK DELIVERY
Orders placed by 2pm are dispatched the same day from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the next working day.

Hi Julie, For balloons to float you would need to inflate them with helium (as it weighs less than than air so it enables them to rise). You can get balloons filled with helium at most high street party shops such as Clinton Cards, or you can buy a disposable helium canister on eBay or Amazon - these are easy and safe to use and will inflate around 25-30 balloons (they cost around £25).
